Potato Kebabs – Crispy Outside, Juicy Inside

 

  • Potatoes — 1 kg (boiled & peeled)
  • Chicken — 500 g (boiled and shredded or finely minced)
  • Black pepper powder — ½ tsp
  • Salt — to taste
  • Eggs — 2
  • Bread crumbs — as needed
  • Green chilies — 2 (finely chopped) 🌶️
  • Fresh coriander — ½ cup (finely chopped) 🌿
  • Crushed red chili — 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala — 1 tsp
  • Milk — 2–3 tbsp (for beating with eggs)
  • Oil — for frying

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare Potatoes & Chicken
Boil potatoes, peel, and mash them.

2️⃣ Make the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, add potatoes, chicken, black pepper, salt, green chilies, fresh coriander, crushed red chili, and chaat masala.

3️⃣ Shape the Kebabs
Take some mixture in your hands and form medium-sized round or oval patties (kebabs).

4️⃣ Prepare the Coating
In one bowl, beat eggs with milk.
In another bowl, place bread crumbs.

5️⃣ Coat the Kebabs
Dip each kebab in the egg mixture, then roll it in bread crumbs until fully coated.
6️⃣ Fry the Kebabs

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry kebabs until golden brown on each side (about 2–3 minutes per side).

7️⃣ Serve
Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain.
Sprinkle with chaat masala and serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
