Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Lasagna 

A decadent twist on classic lasagna, this dish layers tender lasagna noodles with creamy Alfredo sauce, juicy shrimp, and plenty of cheese for a rich seafood comfort meal.

Ingredients:

  •   2 tbsp butter
  •   4 cloves garlic, minced
  •   1 small onion, finely chopped
  •   3 cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
  •  1 egg
  •   ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  •  3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  •   2 cups heavy cream
  •  1 cup milk
  •   ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  •   1 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  •  2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  •  12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  •  1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined (medium or large)
  •   ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  •   Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the shrimp 
  •  In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter.
  •  Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  • Toss in shrimp, season with salt & pepper, and cook until pink (2–3 min per side). Remove and set aside.

2.  Make Alfredo sauce 

  •   In a saucepan, melt ½ cup butter.
  •   Add cream and milk, stirring until warm.
  •  Stir in 1 cup Parmesan cheese, whisk until smooth.

3.  Mix ricotta filling 

  •  In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, ½ cup Parmesan, 1 cup mozzarella, and parsley. Mix well.

4.  Assemble lasagna 

  •   Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  • Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, shrimp, mozzarella, and sauce.
  •  Repeat layers, finishing with noodles, Alfredo sauce, and remaining mozzarella on top.

5 Bake 

  •  Cover with foil and bake at **375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes
  • Remove foil and bake an additional (15 minutes )until golden and bubbly.

6. Serve 

Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
